It is nice to meet you! Tell us a bit about you where are you from and other than illustrating what else do you enjoy?
I am originally from Houston, TX…residing in Bryan, TX. presently.
I am 51…shhhh…lol…mother of two amazing sons…3 beautiful grandbabies.
I love art…cooking…fishing… woodworking…writing songs and poetry…very excited about all the things for me to learn.
When did you start drawing? What was your inspiration to start?
This is something I was born with…genetics I’m guessing…lol… it’s just always been in my soul.
Who is your favorite illustrator or painter; is there anyone out there that inspires you? If so, why?
Painter…Anna Razumovskaya…she is an impressionist…her array of colors…the soft…yet bold strokes…the movement in her paintings…inspires.
What style of art do you enjoy doing and why?
Abstract and impressionism…impressionism being my favorite…I believe the why would be the sense of freedom.
How do you and an author come together to produce a finished product?
I would hope through communication and our passion…for bringing things to life.
If you could, what style of art would you like to dabble in?
What three tips would you give any aspiring artist?
No fear…paint with your heart…never let someone say your joy away… it’s your gift.
What are you working on now? What will you release next?
I’m drawn to nature for the most part…so my project currently is a person (dealing with mostly black and white).
So… where can we get your artwork?
Currently working on my website and creating my studio…meanwhile you can find some of my pieces on Facebook…Swank Creations…by Anna.
How would you define what a successful artist is?
I can only give my perspective. For me…when my project makes me smile inside and out…my perspective will grow…but the joy will always be important to me.
Does a big ego help or hurt?
I would say ego always gets in the way of growth.
What’s your working schedule like?
I’m fortunate to be home…so with that said…24/7.
Where would you like to travel to and why?
Switzerland… Ireland and Italy.
Why? I love nature…these places seem to make me have butterflies…lol.
What would you like the readers to know?
Well guys and girls,
I feel I’m on the more simplistic side of life…I love retrieving unwanted things (trash) and turning it into treasure…and hopefully pairing the art piece to a loving home…where it will be loved and appreciated. Thank you for this opportunity to share with you…much love.
